Course: On-Site Fire Training
All employees must be given adequate training including “action to be taken”, when they commence employment and receive refresher training as appropriate. Further training would be required if there were any change that may affect fire safety e.g. change of work, new systems or alteration to the building. The training should be provided during normal working hours. The employer must carry out regular fire drills.
Basic Course Content:
- Understanding of Fire: how a fire develops and spreads and main causes within the workplace
- Extinguishers and using them correctly
- Hands on practical fire extinguisher training using real extinguishers on real fires in 5 different scenarios within a safe and controlled environment
Cost: £450 plus VAT - Maximum of 12 people – 2 ½ hours
Warden Course Content (as above with these additional features):
- Induction training
- Means of escape
- Human behaviour
- Evacuation
- Roll-call an fire drills
- Products of combustion
Cost: £500 plus VAT - Maximum of 12 people – 4 hours
Shared courses are available to employers who wish to provide training for a small number of staff. Shared sessions take place at a mutually convenient venue with other companies. Costs may vary due to venue and location and will be quoted as applicable.
Course training is undertaken at your premises for your
employees. The fire simulation rig contains all its own
materials
and the fire extinguishers go back into the rig – therefore
not
leaving or creating any mess! The fires are created and
controlled
by experienced members of staff at all times – keeping your
staff
safe in training. Liability insurances are in place for
training
purposes, maintenance and sales.
