Course: E-Learning - Food Hygiene
All food handlers can satisfy their legal requirement by taking this e-learning course. The course gives learners a basic awareness of good hygiene and safety issues and meets food industry recommendations, with reference to employees preparing, cooking and handling food in their specific sectors.
The law states that all food handlers must take training relevant to their work activity. To meet this requirement the course is available in 3 different versions for 3 different sectors:
- Catering
- Retail
- Manufacturing
The course provides an interactive, accessible online (internet) format and is fully animated with high quality graphics/animation and a full audio voice over.
Course Content
The content of the course follows the the syllabus set by both RIPH and The CIEH and includes:
- Food Poisoning and Bacteriology
- Prevention of Contamination
- Personal Hygiene
- Premises & Pest Control
- Cleaning & Disinfection
- The Law
Assessment
The online assessment is taken on completion of the training material. You will be asked 30 multiple choice questions with a pass mark of 70%. The answers are marked automatically so that you'll instantly know whether you passed.
Program Duration
Approximately 2-3 hours to complete the course in full. This can be spread out over multiple sessions or completed in a single session. There is no time limit for completion.
Progress Tracking
Tracking progress of staff through the course and knowing the scores is a very important to management.
Price
£25 plus VAT per delegate with the following discounts being applied for larger numbers:
- 10% discount on over 10 courses
- 20% discount on over 50 courses
Certification
On successful completion of the course candidates receive a quality assured certificate through the post within 10 days. This can be used to provide evidence for compliance and audit.
The course is certified by the national awarding body ASET and match the syllabus set by both The Royal Institute of Public Health (RIPH) and The Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH).
