Course: Understanding Leadership
So what does Leadership feel like and how do you make the most of it? This stimulating and highly interactive workshop is intended to help the more recently appointed manager to understand and explore leadership attributes and make the most of their own skills. Delegates will identify and understand the key elements of leadership within themselves and how this can be translated into maximising team performance. This workshop will also help individuals to become self-aware in terms of their own strengths and development areas.
Some of the topic areas that will be covered during the day include:
- Is leadership what you want and why?
- The joys and heartaches of being a leader.
- Understanding the differences between effectiveness and efficiency?
- What are the skills and attributes the leader needs to bring to the workplace and how can they develop leadership in their teams?
- Balancing popularity with getting the most out of your team.
- How to communicate with passion and conviction in order to ensure understanding of your message.
- Making the most of meetings.
Who should attend?
Anyone who has recently been appointed to the role of manager, supervisor or leader within the last two years. This interactive workshop is aimed at people who currently manage or lead teams, regardless of numbers of staff involved. Delegates will need to be prepared to explore real examples of workplace situations during the day.
