Business Case Accounting Skills

Overview

Often organisations turn making a business case for growth or improvement into a quagmire of bureaucracy, confusion and complexity which actually discourages innovation and, slowly, leads to declining business fortunes.

The true test of a business case should be "does it improve the cash position of the business in an acceptable timescale?". This question is often obscured by complex terminology and measures which may, in reality, reject cash-positive proposals. In addition, many managers lack the analytical skills required to truly appraise the risks and benefits of a business case.

"Business Case Accounting" brings the spotlight of feasibility analysis and the business case back to the key issues - the benefit to the customer; the benefit to the business' competitiveness; the impact on cash; and the impact on business performance.

Who Should Attend?

"Business Case Accounting" is aimed at owners and managers in small and medium sized enterprises who need to improve their essential business finance skills in order to develop, or understand, business cases. Managers in all areas - finance, operations and marketing will benefit from an understanding of the elements that make a difference in preparing and reviewing the business case for investment or improvement.

The programme is presented by a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. the trainer has provided financial training to some of the world's leading companies including Boeing, Rolls Royce, Thermofisher Scientific, Parker Hannifin and many others.

Benefits To You & Your Organisation
