Online L2 Health & Safety Induction
Overview
The 'Health and Safety Induction' course helps employees stay safe and healthy at work by helping them recognise common hazards, how to act in certain situations, what is expected of them, what can cause harm at work and how they can contribute positively to improve the performance of the organisation.
Failing to train employees in basic health and safety is an offence and may lead to prosecution, increased civil claims, poor employee relations and poor performance in the organisation. The Health and Safety Induction course provides an interactive experience for trainees to learn the basic elements of health, safety and environment in the workplace, how they can be involved in risk assessments and what to look out for at work. The course is ideally suited as part of an 'Induction' package and also as a start point for employees to attend other specific courses.
The Health and Safety Induction course is based on the IOSH Working Safely syllabus, aiming to give employees the essential information they need to work safely.

Health and Safety Induction' aims to give employees the essential information they need to work safely. The module follows a nationally recognised syllabus where at the end of the training trainees will be able to:
- Understand their responsibilities for health, safety and environment issues in the workplace
- Recognise the part they can play in securing the health and safety of themselves and others
- Improve the safety performance of the organisation by recognising hazards and risks and knowing what to do
- Ensure accidents and incidents are reported and take part in finding solutions to prevent a re-occurrence
- Recognise common hazards in the workplace and know what to do to prevent accidents
- Appreciate the importance of safe behaviours and how a positive health, safety and environment culture effects an organisations performance
Content
The ‘Health & Safety Induction' course has the following sections:

Assessment
The online assessment is taken on completion of the training material. You will be asked 30 multiple choice questions with a pass mark of 75%. The answers are marked automatically so that you'll instantly know whether you passed. If you don't pass don't worry! You can take the test as many times as you need with no extra charge.
Duration
Approximately 2 hours to complete the course in full. This can be spread out over multiple sessions or completed in a single session. There is no time limit for completion.
Certification
On successful completion of the course you will be sent a quality assured certificate through the post the next working day. This can be used to provide evidence for compliance and audit.
