Content

The 'Manual Handling Awareness' course helps trainees understand the requirements of working safely by following the Health and Safety Executive's Guidance notes, 'Getting to grips with manual handling - A short guide' (INDG 143) and 'Are you making the best use of lifting and handling aids?' (INDG 398).

The Course contains the following sections:

• Introduction
• Defining the problem
• Avoiding the need for manual handling
• Assessing the risk from manual handling
• Reducing the risk
• Self-assessment

Assessment

The online assessment is taken on completion of the training material. You will be asked 13 multiple choice questions with a pass mark of 75%. The answers are marked automatically so that you'll instantly know whether you passed. If you don't pass don't worry! You can take the test as many times as you need with no extra charge.
