Effective Team Working in a Primary Care Setting

Overview

This highly interactive workshop has been developed to help team members to enhance their team working skills at a level that will readily transfer to workplace behaviour and immediately impact upon personal effectiveness and productivity in the service.

Who Should Attend?

Individuals working in Primary Care Teams or planning to move into a team working environment and wanting to enhance their skills in being a more effective member of the Health Care team.

Key Learning Outcomes

• Understand the importance of effective team working and how this can positively affect patient care
• Understand their own role within the team and that of other team members
• Understand how their role forms part of the wider primary health care team
• Understands team working in the wider context of health and social care provision
• Demonstrate ability to work in partnership with colleagues from social care providers
• Ability to identify what factors contribute to effective team working
• An understanding of personal responsibilities and accountability in this area of care
