Effective Visual Retail Merchandising Skills
Overview
This one day workshop will teach the basic principles of visual merchandising via shape, colour and the ‘story being told to the customer'. It will show you the concepts of store layout and ‘how the customer shops the store'. You will understand the emotional response to product and window displays and the link to sales. i.e what is store really selling?
You will learn how to implement powerful display techniques e.g. vertical blocking vs. horizontal blocking, bulk stacking, perceived value and practical merchandising. Finally you will learn the power of strong ‘Point of Sale' graphics and how the customer reads your store. During the workshop you will generate an action plan to implement on return to your store.
