This course will take you through the important steps in managing an effective induction programme for a new member of staff from appointment to their first year of employment with your business.

By the end of the course you will:

  • Be more confident in building unique induction programmes for each new member of staff with minimal effort
  • Be aware of your statutory requirements for training new employees
  • Know what to include about the job, team and the business
  • Recognise opportuities to optimise performance
  • Be confident in taking steps to make new staff feel valued and feel part of the team
  • Know how to improve retention rates and reduce costs of recruitment
  • Be able to recognise opportunities to develop new skills for yourself and others involved in the induction process
  • Have a structured and consistent approach to inducting new staff
  • Realise the importance of engaging key people in the process to add importance and value to the process
  • Know how to evaluate the induction process and make ongoing refinements to further improve the process
