Leading and Engaging Home Workers (Virtual) Training Course

Our virtual training will look at why some team leaders may struggle to engage their home working team members and get the balance right when to comes to communication, accountability and tailoring to individual needs.

Leading and managing remotely can be complicated and especially during times of a national emergency, and it becomes even more challenging to engage employees. As businesses across the world transition, where possible, to a part/fully home working in response to changing business needs and extreme situations, understanding what team leaders need to be effective remote is key.

The virtual timings are booked on a date and timings to suit you. There is the option of an additional follow up to suit your needs to allow time to reflect on the training.

Supporting training materials will be provided in advance together with a certificate of attendance.

We will issue a pre-course questionnaire to enable us to tailor the session to your requirements.

Proposed timings are 9 am to 12 pm with a break for lunch and 1 pm to 4.30 pm. There will also be comfort breaks (15 minutes each) mid morning and afternoon.

  • Adapting your remote leadership and management style to suit your team and to ensure no one feels isolated
  • Managing friends remotely and your relationship with your team and your colleagues as well as your own manager
  • Identifying what motivates remote team members
  • Recognising effective methods of communication to motivate and maintain engagement in your remote team and throughout the business
  • Managing vs doing – getting the balance right when working from home
  • Remote/home working delegation to get results and to keep team members challenged
